The Ohio Valley Region MG Support Group meets monthly
on the second Saturday of the month.
We have hybrid meetings, offering both in-person and virtual attendance options to accommodate all participants.
In addition, we host a monthly social event to give members the opportunity to connect on a more personal level and build meaningful relationships outside of the structured meeting time.

Join Us on October 10th for our Support Group Meeting.

Join us on Saturday, October 10th, from 1:00 PM–3:00 PM as we dive into something we don’t talk about enough, QUITTING!
Topic: "Quitters Club!"
Why do we continue doing things that leave us stressed, unhappy, overwhelmed, or completely exhausted? Why do we feel like we have to keep saying yes—even when our body is telling us NO MORE?
Living with MG means learning to recognize our limits. Sometimes protecting our health means quitting, stepping back, setting boundaries, or simply saying NO.
At this meeting, we’ll talk about:
✨ Learning to say NO without guilt
✨ Why we feel like we need to give a reason for saying no
✨ Setting healthy boundaries with family, friends, work, and others
✨ Letting go of things that drain our energy
✨ Knowing when it’s okay to quit, cancel, or change plans
✨ Putting our health and well-being first
✨ Giving ourselves permission to stop doing things simply because we always have
And remember…
You do not owe everyone an explanation.
“No” is a complete sentence.
So come join the Quitters Club—because sometimes quitting isn’t giving up. Sometimes quitting is taking care of yourself.

Ohio Valley Region MG will provide:
• Bowls, plates, napkins & utensils
• Cheese & crackers
• Cold drinks, coffee & hot chocolate
Members provide the chili!

Living with Myasthenia Gravis can sometimes feel isolating. Our social outings provide an opportunity to connect with others who understand the MG journey, build lasting friendships, share encouragement and resources, and strengthen the community around us.
By coming together outside of our regular meetings, we create a welcoming environment where patients, caregivers, families, and friends can connect, foster hope, and feel supported.
These experiences help us live out the mission of Ohio Valley Region MG—empowering those affected by Myasthenia Gravis through education, support, advocacy, awareness, and meaningful connections.

We're excited to welcome Ashley, a local nutritionist, as our guest speaker! Ashley's mom is a valued member of our MG community, giving her a unique understanding of the challenges many individuals and families face while living with Myasthenia Gravis.
Ashley will share practical nutrition tips to help support overall health, energy, and wellness. Whether you're living with MG, caring for someone who is, or simply looking to make healthier choices, you'll leave with valuable information you can apply in your everyday life.
