Myasthenia Gravis is a rare autoimmune neuromuscular disease with no known cure. Ohio Valley Region MG is dedicated to empowering and improving the lives of adults diagnosed with Myasthenia Gravis by providing education, support, and access to trusted resources.

We offer educational programming, peer-to-peer support opportunities, and connections to valuable community resources. Our programs are designed to help individuals better understand their diagnosis, navigate treatment options, and strengthen their overall well-being.

Through advocacy, patient support initiatives, and efforts that promote research and health equity, we strive to make a meaningful impact in the lives of those affected by MG.

Open Arms Closet

We are currently seeking donations to help provide essential medical equipment for individuals living with Myasthenia Gravis. Many patients face financial challenges when obtaining the tools and equipment necessary to support their daily health and mobility.

Donations designated for medical equipment assistance help us provide critical items that improve safety, independence, and quality of life for those affected by MG.

Your generosity directly supports members of our community who are navigating the physical and financial challenges of this rare autoimmune neuromuscular disease.

Volunteer Village

Make a meaningful difference by volunteering at our MG Awareness Walks, Health Fairs, support group meetings, and community outreach events. Your time and talents help us create impactful, welcoming experiences for individuals and families affected by Myasthenia Gravis.

Essentials

Gift cards to stores such as Walmart or Kroger are greatly appreciated, as they allow us to purchase beverages and light refreshments for our MG Support Group meetings and community events. These contributions help create a welcoming and comfortable environment for individuals and families affected by Myasthenia Gravis.

Amazon gift cards are also extremely helpful, enabling us to purchase program supplies and materials needed to carry out our mission and support the MG community effectively.

Ohio Valley Region MG is a fully volunteer-led nonprofit organization committed to serving individuals and families affected by Myasthenia Gravis. We operate with fiscal responsibility, paying only for services as needed to minimize overhead and ensure that the maximum amount of funding directly benefits the MG community.

Donations and sponsorships help sustain:

  • In-person support group meetings

  • Virtual extensions of our in-person programs

  • Support group activities and patient education programs

  • Volunteer training and leadership development

  • Ohio Valley Region MG Awareness Days, Health Fairs, and Patient Conferences

📌 Important Details:

  • All items must be new/unused

  • Completed baskets must be brought to our June 13th meeting

  • If you sign up for a basket, please follow through on your commitment

  • If you’re unable to complete your basket, notify Kacy at Kacy@overmg.org so the Events Committee can arrange for someone else to take it over
